Our fridge is broken and the new one is on the way... so I've been trying to use only ingredients that we have on hand and not buy anything. This has made for some creativity! Tonight, apple croissant rolls with vegetable soup :) We had some apples that needed to be used and some Pillsbury croissant rolls so voila!INGREDIENTS
* apples;, peeled, cored and sliced
* Pillsbury croissant rolls
* 1 tsp cinnamon
* 1/2 tsp nutmeg
* 1/2 tsp sugar
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 375 (as directed on croissant label)
Peel, core and slice the apples. Steam for 5 minutes, until soft.
Roll out croissants and lay 1-2 slices of apples on top of the wider end.
Mix cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar, then sprinkle on top of apples.
Roll croissant up.
Sprinkle any leftover cinnamon/nutmeg/sugar mixture on top of croissants.
Bake for 15 or so minutes, until croissant is crispy and browned.
* After making this, I think it would be great with a dollop of cream cheese added in the croissant rolls with the apples!

I use this as my personal online cookbook. It's simple and easy to access, nothing frilly about this blog, but please feel free to follow if you'd like :) I started it because it's much easier than searching through multiple places for a recipe or printing out a million recipe pages ;)
